ABOUT ME
I love my grandma.

My approach to UX strategy and design is centered around my ability to listen and understand.

My gran gave me my first lesson in UX

With roots in Canadian internment camps in Tashme, BC– my Japanese grandma masked her traumatic experience with kindness and optimism. It seemed that she loved everyone and needed nothing. As she began to age, she developed dementia, and her needs became more apparent. Her reserved personality was overcome by a bold and brave honesty. The deeper she declined, the deeper I listened. I listened with my ears, eyes, nose, and hands because of this, I deeply understood her.

I aspire to take my ability to listen into each of my projects, treating each users as if they are my gran.
